Who is Orange Sky?

Orange Sky is the world’s first free mobile laundry service for people experiencing homelessness – founded in 2014 the organisation was created in a Brisbane garage by two mates, Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett.
Orange Sky’s positive impact isn’t solely because of their laundry and shower services. It happens through building a community by creating a safe, positive and supporting environment for people who are too often ignored or feel disconnected. Their volunteers aren’t experts on homelessness or social workers. They are simply a great bunch of people who are empathetic listeners and great conversationalists, who each week bring people together through genuine, non-judgemental conversation and access to these essential services.
